CoWorking - Celebrating Virtual Connectivity

CoWorking News Volume 2 : Number 21 - Number 20

Quickbowse

If you are looking for an easy-to-use, elegantly designed, single-purpose, no-download, nitty-and-gritty, one-row-to-hoe, on-line information harvester, http://www.qb.com/ will get you there.

Quickbrowse creates a very long web-page, composed of whatever links you click on. Click on a lot of links, and get a very, very long page. All in a row. Updated daily. Create a lot of pages ("metabrowsers"). Build them with the help of online templates, or on your own. And, most importantly for the CoWorking community, you can share your collections with anyone in the virtual world.

Brett Schneir of Quickbrowse business development explains how: "After you have created an account and saved a Quickbrowse collection: Under your list of collections, CLICK the button marked "edit collections." Then click the link "collection list - advanced" (toward the bottom of the page). Select the check boxes under the column heading "make public" (corresponding to the collections you wish to allow others to view) and CLICK the button marked "update." You can now view a collection, copy the URL and email it to anyone. " You can even edit the collection - changing the organization and even the URLs as needed.

All right, it's a little more complicated than having a button that says: "email this to my group." And registering requires a little more information than I think proper or necessary. But not too much.

And here's the metabrowser I made out of the links on this page: CoWorking 221, Metabrowsed
