      GURU.COM

Here's a great site for you freelancers out there in "L" land to help build and take care of business. Make sure to read the terms of service found in the list of links at the bottom of the sign-up page. Be careful when you type in the URL -- even though the Web site name is Guru.com, the URL has a dash in gu-ru.

      QUICKBROWSE.COM

Tired of searching multiple pages individually? Here's a "metabrowser" that concatenates pages into one scrollable document so you can search them all at once for your keywords. According the site information, "Quickbrowse.com was created by freelance journalist Marc Fest, when he was trying to come up with a way to speed up his daily journalist research by literally 'stitching together' multiple web pages for faster viewing."

Quickbrowse takes some time to set up. The help is pretty basic, but you do need to read it to take full advantage of all the features. If you have sites you search regularly, like the your local papers and business journals or a set of search engines, you can set them up as a masterpage and even bookmark the page. The set-up allows you to include pages that are date sensitive. You can even have your masterpages e-mailed to you for searching on a regular basis. Another use for this site would be when you are searching on someone like Bill Gates and get a gazillion hits. Just group 'em together and search away.
