Jeff Herbst, formerly Vice President for Business Development at Altavista.com, joins Quickbrowse.com Advisory Board.

MIAMI BEACH, FL, October 3, 2000

Quickbrowse.com, the inventor of metabrowsing, today announced the addition of Jeff Herbst to its board of advisers. Herbst currently serves as executive vice president of corporate development & strategy for Alterego Networks, a wireless infrastructure company (www.aego.com). Immediately prior to joining Alterego, Herbst served as worldwide head of corporate and business development for Altavista.com (www.altavista.com), where he developed extensive experience and contacts within the Internet industry.

Prior to joining AltaVista, Herbst was a partner with the law firm of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he represented Internet and other high technology growth companies in a variety of business, technology and securities matters. Herbst received a BS in computer science from Brown University and a law degree from Stanford Law School.
