New York New Media Association introduces Quickbrowse This to streamline its job search site
NEW YORK, NY.- Jan 16, 2002 - The New York New Media Association (NYNMA), one of the leading new media and technology associations in America, is offering an innovative tool to make job hunting easier. NYNMA's online jobs board now employs "Quickbrowse This", a unique and patent-pending technology that enables job seekers to search NYNMA's job postings, select multiple listings, and view them together on a single page instead of one posting at a time. NYNMA is the first web site to introduce this timesaving feature on an online jobs board.
The Quickbrowse This feature is simple to use - no software installation is necessary - and it's based on a simple idea. Eliminate the need to go back and forth between the individual postings and the search result page when viewing many postings saves a lot of time. Job seekers now have to scroll through a single page only, to quickly go through more postings in less time. The more postings a candidate can view, the more likely he or she is to find a match.
"With nearly 400,000 hits a month, NYNMA's Jobs Board has always been the place for insiders in the New York technology industry to post and find jobs," says Alice O'Rourke, NYNMA's Executive Director. "Quickbrowse adds a beneficial element to the NYNMA Jobs Board. This, along with our monthly CyberSuds· networking events, and our HR and Free Agent Special Interest Groups (SIGs), are some of the ways which NYNMA connects its talented members with New York business."
Developed by Miami-based Quickbrowse.com, Inc., "Quickbrowse This" can be added to sites literally within minutes, simply by inserting a few lines of code into a Web page. "We put a lot of effort into making Quickbrowse This easy to use for users, but also easy to install for Web site operators," says Marc Fest, CEO of Quickbrowse.com, Inc.
"Quickbrowse This can dramatically improve any site with job listings," says Fest. "But beyond job sites, our technology is great for any and all sites containing links to various pieces of content. We are happy to make our debut with NYNMA because their site is an ideal showcase for our
technology. We're pleased to contribute to NYNMA's mission of helping professionals in the technology industry."
